sold out

You’re invited to Black Girls Guide to POLITICS, the second discussion of our new BGGT series! Join us for a thoughtful conversation about what it means to engage in politics as a Black woman. This conversation will dive into the responsibility of making our voices heard not only through voting but by staying active in the political process. We’ll explore how to advocate for change, hold leaders accountable, and navigate the demands of political engagement while prioritizing our well-being

Our panelists will share their journeys of navigating the challenges and burdens of being Black women in politics, and how they’ve supported other Black women through these experiences. Join us as we explore strategies for staying empowered without feeling overwhelmed.

Our Panelists:
Kim Young, MSW, LCSW | Dope Black Social Worker®, LLC
Amy Wentz | Former City Council Candidate, Community Advocate
Alicia S. Atkins | Henrico County School Board, Chair
Brittney Lyons-Woody, M. Div | Womens and Pediatric Chaplain

📅 Date: October 9
🕡 Time: 6:30 PM
📍 Location: Fairfield Library, 1401 N Laburnum Ave, Richmond, VA 23223

This event is FREE + open to the public.
